Letter from Brother Paul Based on the
most recent Whitehouse recommendations, we are pausing all corporate worship
activities of Calvary Baptist Church through the end of March. This will include all Wednesday evening
gatherings as well as Sunday school and worship. This decision is not based on fear or panic
but out of respect for our national leadership who feel this to be in the best
interest of the health of our nation.
The church
office will still be open and operate as usual during this time unless noted otherwise. Pastor Paul will provide updates as needed
via Facebook and Messenger and we will utilize our Church Care Group Ministry
for additional communications.
While we are
not set up to provide full online services at this time, Pastor Paul will be sharing
a special recorded message to help connect us through worship and Bible
study. You can look for this on Sunday
mornings at www.cbcburg.org.
I remind you
to be faithful in prayer knowing that ONLY God can put an end to this plague
and bring us through safely. I also
remind you to be faithful in giving.
This virus will end soon but our church must go on. We can only do that
through the faithful support of God’s people.
During this pause you are encouraged to give online via the website or through
the regular mail at
P.O. Box 401, Childersburg.
I urge you
to stay connected to one another through social media and electronic
communication. If you have any needs
please let us know. This is an
unpresented opportunity for us to be the hands and the feet of Jesus. Even though we are not meeting corporately
for a few days, we are still God’s church.
Love you
all,
Brother Paul
